George Hall Sr. 1927-2014 Founder of George Hall Farm

Welcome, Thank you for visiting our farm’s website!

George started this farm in 1966, using techniques that are environmentally safe and organic.

In 1979 George was one of the first farmers in CT to become certified organic and we are proud to maintain that certification through the Baystate Organic Certifiers of Massachusetts. Here at George Hall Farm, we pride ourselves in providing our local community with the freshest, highest quality, certified organic produce possible.

Daren Hall, George’s nephew,  runs the farm now along with his wife Janet and their children.    We have over 100 acres in production.  In 2014 we completed work with the Simsbury Land Trust to secure the land and preserve the George Hall Farm for years to come. Our produce comes to our customers at the height of freshness and nutritional value. We offer Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) shares, a farm stand on the property where customers can choose from our fresh produce, eggs, pork and honey and an internship program for folks who are interested in learning about farming and organic practices. And of course, you can find us out in the community at local Farmers’ Markets.
